It’s said that over a century ago, Don Melchor de Concha y Toro reserved some of his best wines deep in his cellar for his own personal consumption, only to find that bottles continuously went missing. So he spread a rumor that the devil lived in his cellar, and reportedly as this rumor spread, the thieving stopped. Today, that legend lives on as the Concha y Toro family calls their reserve wines “Casillero del Diablo.”
Join WLTW radio at Gary’s of Wayne this Friday from 3-5 pm for a tasting of Casillero del Diablo wines and some good radio broadcasting fun.
