Boston , MA | | Click here to map directions | | Details: The Boston Wine Expo celebrates its 20th Anniversary by bringing together wine enthusiasts from all over New England for a celebration of fine wine, food, culinary demonstrations and wine education. Founded in 1991 by the Boston Guild of Oenophilists, the Boston Wine Expo has grown into one of the most well-known and respected wine events in the country.
The Grand Tasting features wines from all over the world and more than 100 food and lifestyle vendors. All wine and food samples are included with your admission ticket, plus chef demonstrations by Boston’s most celebrated chefs including Ming Tsai of Blue Ginger, Jasper White of Jasper White’s Summer Shack, Michael Schlow of Radius, Via Matta and Alta Strada, Gordon Hamersley of Hamersley’s Bistro, Paul O’Connell of Chez Henri and other local favorites on two demonstrations stages; “Mini” wine clinics lead by winemakers that will teach you the secrets of their wines in short thirty-minute sessions and a retailer center where you can order wine sampled at the show.
The seminar program includes offerings for all levels of wine knowledge featuring experts including keynote speaker Ray Isle, Executive Wine Editor, Food & Wine, Leslie Sbrocco, Founder of Thirsty Girl, Gloria Maroti Frazee, Director of Education, Wine Spectator and best-selling author, Mark Oldman. The event features 26 seminars over the two-day event.
The Grand Wine Lounge is the ideal setting for serious wine enthusiasts looking to sample rare and expensive vintages before they purchase a bottle. Located in a private room away from the Grand Tasting, the Grand Cru is the perfect way to spend an afternoon sampling fine wine and tasting delectable treats from the top restaurants in the city. All wines poured for $75 and up.
